AdriaPolo Camps
AdriaPolo Team Camps are designed for the TEAMS. The best in class, the Team Academy program couples the opportunity to learn, play water polo with other water polo teams, exercise and test team strategies and drill the plays and tactics, all while enjoying the summer on the Adriatic coast. Each program is custom-designed by AdriaPolo Program Director in cooperation with the team’s Coach.
Each camp is tailored for the visiting team’s needs, from the practices, games, places visited, to the level of involvement of AdriaPolo’s experts and coaches. The teams can visit with or without a coach (if no coach, an adult chaperone is required). AdriaPolo’s coaches can cover all practices and games, or only some. The teams will have an opportunity to play Croatian teams, and often other visiting teams.
AdriaPolo Camps for individual players are currently run as age-group camps. These age-group camps are at this time not offered internationally; however, a pilot camp is under consideration and might be run for a smaller group of individual players during the summer 2009; please register your interest, as the age group will be determined based on the age of the interested players.
AdriaPolo camps base is in the town of Sv. Filip i Jakov (St. Philip and Jacob) in Croatia. There is often a possibility to play games with Croatian teams from other towns and cities. Several cities with strong waterpolo culture are only few hours away; for example: Zagreb, the capital of Croatia and home to Mladost, Medvescak and Zagreb waterpolo teams; Split, the city with the famous palace from the Roman times and a number of high-quality water polo teams, including Mornar, Jadran, and POSK; and Dubrovnik, probably the most known place on the Croatian coast with dozens of water polo teams in the area including Jug, one of the best club teams in the world, are equally close.
