AdriaPolo’s founder Mr. Predrag Majica serves as the Program Director, overseeing both the organizational and the coaching aspects of all camps. Amongst water polo crowd Predrag is known as ‘Majica’ (‘Mayitza’); while his family name not only serves as a widely recognizable nickname but is close to what can be regarded as a personal brand, his first name is often unknown to many of his peers, colleagues and water polo students, who know him simply as Majica (Mayitza).
Predrag is an experienced entrepreneur with international experience in organization and management of aquatic centers, pool programs, and water polo clubs. A well-known water polo player, Predrag played in several of the best Croatian water polo teams, including Primorje from Rijeka, Mornar from Split, Cavtat from Cavtat and, of course, Gusar from Sv. Filip i Jakov. He also played in Slovenia’s team Kopar and Italian’s Vicenza. As a water polo coach, Predrag worked with teams in Croatia, Slovenia, Italy and Israel, achieving notable success leading Zadar and Koper. Over the course of four years while in Trieste in Italy as the Head Coach of Unione Sportiva Triestina Nuoto, Predrag created and established teams’ very successful water polo program for all age groups.
Outside of the world of sport, Predrag is well-known as an entrepreneur and business owner who, together with his wife Ivana, manages several successful business ventures in Zadar and Sv. Filip i Jakov area. Predrag’s strategic management advice is often sought after by peers in the business.
